Nike Penny 'Sharpie' Pack

July 03, 2015 by Steven Byrum

Release Date:7/4

During the 1997 NBA Playoffs, the NBA wasn't going to allow Penny Hardaway to lace up his royal blue Foams, because they were in violation of the league's uniform code. That's when Penny decided to add some black stripes using a sharpie, and he then proceeded to 41 and 42 points in games 3 & 4 to help Orlando tie up their series against the Miami Heat.

In honor of Penny's innovation, Nike plans to release a 'Sharpie Pack' which includes the aforementioned Nike Air Foamposite One. The iconic kicks will also be joined by the first rendition of the Air Penny 6.

The 'Sharpie Pack' will officially be hitting retailers this Saturday, July 4th, for a cool $500. Will you be shelling out $500 for a pair of foams and a Penny 6?
